A large insurance client of Insight Global is looking for a VB.
NET Developer to join their Life and Annuity Distributed Applications team.
This person will primarily be responsible for enhancements and new development for the LEAP application, which is an application entry system written in VB.
NET on desktop version.
In addition, they will provide on-call support for other systems that are supported by this team, which include New Business Accelerator (nbA) which is the underwriting system for life business and consists of requirements and impairments but composed of J2EE and IBM RAD; Contracts, Appointments and Licensing (CAL) is an agent information tracking system written in C+
and.
NET; They will also support Producer Accounting and Disbursement Entry (PADE) written in VB.
NET.
With various technologies in play, we are looking for a self-starter who is open to learning new technology and has a strong work ethic, with the primary skill being in VB.
NET.
The team is based in Houston, TX, but this role is up to 100% remote, working Mon-Fri 8:
00AM-4:
30PM OR 7:
30AM-4:
50PM on a 5/4 schedule having 1 day off bi-weekly.
Experience working with Team Foundation Server (TFS), Azure DevOps Server, or PVCS (Polytron Version Control System)Experience with Angular and TypescriptInsurance industry experience, specifically with agent tracking software, application and financial software5
years professional experience in a software development role, specifically with VB.
